Terms and Conditions. The Editor's Connection (referred to as 'The Editor's Connection') reserves the right to change or modify this agreement, along with any incorporated policies or guidelines, at its sole discretion and without prior notice. You (referred to as “Client”) accept our Terms of Service, detailed herein, upon clicking the checkbox in our checkout process (which is required to complete the form). You agree that you’ve reviewed and understand the content within our website, which outlines the details of the scope of our services. Any changes or modifications will be posted by The Editor's Connection to https://theeditorsconnection.com/terms-conditions/ and become effective upon posting of the revisions on this document. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the website to obtain timely notice of such changes or modifications. Your continued use of the membership following The Editor's Connection posting of any changes or modifications will constitute your acceptance of such changes or modifications. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF ANY MODIFICATION, DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE SERVICES, CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND IMMEDIATELY PROVIDE NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT. Membership Cancellation Procedure Client may cancel their membership at any time via their Client dashboard or by sending an email request to support@theeditorsconnection.com. All cancellations must be submitted in writing for verification purposes. Once cancellation is confirmed, the Client will receive an email confirmation of the cancellation. This email should be retained for their records. You will not receive any reminders or prompts from The Editor’s Connection, we will only provide work in response to your requests for service. Billing Cycle and Cancellation Timing The Editor's Connection may change its fees from time to time by posting the changes on The Editor's Connection’s website with 5 days prior notice. No advanced notice is required or provided for temporary promotions or reductions in fees. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial membership periods or unused services, including pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. By registering for a membership through The Editor's Connection's website, you authorize The Editor's Connection to automatically charge your provided payment method (e.g., credit card) on a recurring basis according to your selected billing frequency (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually) until you cancel the membership To avoid being billed for the next cycle, cancellations must be completed at least 24 hours before the next billing date. If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the billing date, the Client will be charged for the following month. The membership will then remain active for the duration of that billing period, and no further charges will be made after that period ends. Your account and access to the services provided via The Editor's Connection’s membership will be suspended in the event of non-payment of applicable fees. You represent and warrant to The Editor's Connection that such payment information is accurate and that you are authorized to use the method of payment. You will promptly update your account information with any changes (for example, a change in your billing address or credit card expiration date) that may occur. No Refunds and Service Quality Acknowledgment The Editor's Connection provides access to professional editing services, and membership fees are solely for access to these services. The quality of creative work is inherently subjective, and as such, refunds or credits will not be issued based on subjective dissatisfaction The Editor's Connection strives to deliver high-quality editing services; however, the Client understands that opinions on the quality of creative work can vary. As such, refunds will not be provided based on the Client's subjective dissatisfaction with the quality of the service. The Editor’s Connection will only provide work in response to service requests made by the Client, and no proactive reminders or prompts for usage will be sent. Once a billing cycle has begun, the Client is responsible for that month's payment, and no refunds will be issued for partially used membership periods or for any months where the service was not used. Chargebacks and Dispute Resolution In the event of a chargeback, The Editor's Connection will provide evidence of the Client's agreement to this cancellation policy, the usage history (if applicable), and the communication history, including the cancellation confirmation email. Client agree that initiating a chargeback in violation of this cancellation policy is a breach of the terms of service. The Editor's Connection reserves the right to pursue legal action or employ collection agencies to recover any unpaid amounts due to improper chargebacks. To avoid misunderstandings, Clients are encouraged to contact our customer service team if they have any concerns or issues regarding their membership. Membership Continuation Memberships remain active and billable regardless of whether the service is used. Client are responsible for managing their membership status and ensuring timely cancellation if they no longer wish to continue. Scope of Services The Editor's Connection provides editing services based on the membership type. Available services include video editing, photography editing, and graphic design, depending on the membership tier selected by the Client. Client acknowledge that The Editor's Connection does not acquire, record, or create original footage, recordings, or photographs. We do not offer content strategy, marketing, or social media management services. Furthermore, The Editor's Connection does not guarantee the success or effectiveness of any materials that have been edited or designed by our team. The Client is responsible for providing the necessary raw materials (footage, images, etc.) for editing and design. The quality and success of the final product depends only on the content provided by the Client. Limitations and Abuse of Service The Editor's Connection is designed for reasonable use by a single individual. It is not intended to replace a full-time video editor, so please use your common sense. If we find that your usage of our service is inconsistent with its intended purpose, including but not limited to sharing accounts/logins, or have violated our rules and regulations, or in our absolute and sole discretion we believe that you have are abused our services or any team member in any way, including using our services for illegal materials, we reserve the right to cancel your account and suspend services without prior notice without refunds. While we do our best to minimize any mistakes, due to the nature of creative video editing we cannot guarantee all files delivered will be 100% error-free. Upon file delivery, you agree to review and proof all files for any errors or omissions and notify our team if any changes/corrections are needed. We will do our best to rush any edits to correct the mistakes. The Editor's Connection is not responsible or liable for any losses or expenses incurred from any errors or omissions. The outcome of your video depends upon the completeness and detail you provide with your instructions. We will not perform any services that are not specified in the instructions required upon submitting a project. While we can accept unlimited requests and revisions, our response time varies depending upon our work volume and the complexity of the request. We will do our best to work with you to accommodate your timelines and any priority items or expedite requests, but we cannot guarantee delivery by any particular deadlines, so we suggest you do not use our service for time-sensitive requests. Notifications and Reminders The Editor's Connection may send periodic reminders of the upcoming billing date. However, the responsibility for managing and canceling the membership lies solely with the Client. Client are encouraged to review their membership status regularly to avoid any unwanted charges. Ownership of Content Customer maintains the ownership rights in any original video recordings and audio recordings that Customer submits to The Editor’s Connection’s website and the finished product delivered by The Editor's Connection. Storage Any digital files stored on our Google Drive service will be kept for a maximum of 3 months starting on the date they were uploaded. Grant of Limited Rights to The Editor's Connection By submitting a request for video editing to The Editor's Connection, you give us the rights to use your original audio and video recordings to the extent necessary to complete the requested video editing. You agree to authorize us to retain archival copies of all final deliveries of videos that you have submitted. You agree that you are hereby granting The Editor's Connection a non-exclusive right and license to publish the work we create for you in our portfolio, website blog, social media, email, or other communication efforts. You may revoke this right and license at any time by providing written notice to support@theeditorsconnection.com By submitting any footage, music, or media to The Editor's Connection, you represent and warrant that you own the rights or have obtained the appropriate licenses for such content. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Editor's Connection from all claims related to copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property infringements arising from the content you provide. Limitation of liability The Editor’s Connection will not be liable to you or to any third party for any loss (financially or otherwise) or any damages arising from or relating to this Agreement. You acknowledge and agree that your use of this site is at your own discretion and risk. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you. In no event shall the total liability of The Editor's Connection under this agreement exceed fifty dollars ($50), regardless of the cause of action, in tort, contract, or otherwise. Business day The Editor's Connection operates Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, Pacific Time. Any requests submitted outside of these hours will be processed on the next business day. Policy Updates The Editor's Connection reserves the right to update or modify this cancellation policy at any time. Client will be notified of any significant changes to the policy via email and through notices on their Client dashboard. Continued use of the service after any policy updates signifies the Client's acceptance of the new terms. By signing up for and using The Editor's Connection service, Clients agree to this cancellation policy and acknowledge that it is their responsibility to manage their membership and cancel before the next billing cycle if they no longer wish to use the service.
